Protocol for: Real time Imaging of Apoptosis in animals
Link to Full Protocol:
Abstract or Description:
Protocol for the non-invasive, real time imaging of apoptosis in vivo. This protocol is relevant to researchers who want to monitor apoptosis in response to treatment (anti-cancer therapies) or in response to disease conditions (ischemia). The CAS-MAP™ Apoptosis Imaging probes are injected IV and allowed to circulate for up to 1 hour prior to imaging on a small animal imaging system. The probes are cell permeable, non toxic and form irreversible bonds with active caspases inside the cell. Unbound probe is removed via the circulatory system, kidneys and liver. The CAS-MAP™ probes are ideal for monitoring efficacy and determining kinetics of therapeutic treatments.
